PBT Fencing Body Cord Parts

PBT, European made, fencing body cords and parts are available for Foil / Sabre or Epee. They are "German Style" and European made. They are of high quality and not as expensive as other "German Style" cords. Many "German style" cords from German equipment companies are now made in China. Don't be fooled into paying a higher price for an inferior cord. Rest assured our cords are still made in Europe.

Things to consider when purchasing our body cord parts:

Our foil / sabre retainer clips are compatible with Uhlman, All-Star and others.
Our 3mm pins and 4mm pins will only work with PBT plugs
Our alligator clips, 2 prong and 3 prong plugs are compatible with Uhlman, All-Star and others.
Foil and sabre use the same fencing body cord.
There are two major systems of fencing body cords: 1) German style and 2) French style. The German style foil /sabre 2 prong body cords have the retainer clip on the plug. The French style's retainer clip is a piece of plastic that attaches to the socket. This plastic clip often flies off while fencing which is why experienced fencers prefer German style cords.
Foil / sabre fencing body cords are also available in bayonet. This system is most popular in the United Kingdom.
If a German style fencing body cord, foil / sabre or epee becomes loose in a socket or reel plug you can use a screwdriver to spread the slits in the small pins apart. This will open the pin up and make it fit more snugly in the socket. French style body cords have thin slits in their pins and this type of adjustment is not possible. If a French style fencing body cord does not fit well in a particular socket or plug you are out of luck. Yet another reason why experienced fencers prefer the German system.
